Chris Hunter, also known as Kenny Jaeger and Chris Jaegerossa, is a seasoned figure in the music scene, familiar with the industry, knows his way around the turntables, and captivates crowds.
From intimate social gatherings to clubs, Chris knows how to set the perfect musical tone. With over 25 years dedicated to house music, his upbringing on a musical diet of Funk, Soul, Philly grooves, Motown, and Disco, influenced by his father, is unmistakable.
Introduced to house music in 1986, Chris's passion blossomed through the vibrant 1990s house music scene in the North West of the UK. Opportunities to refine his skills emerged, leading to notable residencies like Free 2 Dance at the University of Central Lancashire and gigs at Cheeky Monkey, Green, and Feel.
His journey continued in the early 2000s working at the Shaboom & Blaktrax labels, and held residencies at Revolution bars, private bookings via Six15, and Edit with Phil Rose as Jaegerossa, and more recently as Jaeger & Rynhart working with the Quantize Team. Whether holding the fort for an entire evening or making guest set appearances, Chris is at home in the music world.
Entertaining celebrities at private events and exclusive bars in Manchester and Cheshire, Chris's diverse musical mix of soul, house, funk, and disco creates an unforgettable experience. Under various aliases, including Da Mentalistz and Jaegerossa, he has played internationally in Ibiza, Miami, Italy, France, and Moldova.
Having graced the decks for legendary clubs like Eden (Ibiza), Feel, Bed, Cream, and The End, Chris has shared the stage with industry giants such as Joey Negro, Pete Tong, and DJ Sneak. His global radio presence includes appearances on Grant Nelson’s Housecall, Triple Dee Radio Show, The Filter on the D3EP Radio Network, and recently on Get Quantized.
In the studio, Chris has collaborated with DJ Spen, Robert Clivilles, Groove Junkies, Redsoul, Changing Planes, garnering support from renowned figures including Pete Tong, Mark Radford, and Opolopo.
